| Hi, My daughter is doing a science project tracking constellations relative to polaris. Is anyone familiar with a coffee can with a light bulb inside and shining it on the wall as a projector you drill a hole in the middle of the can for polaris and then drill holes in the shape of say the big dipper and then turn the can to represent the changing of seasons as the earth would move. |

| I did a little Googling, and found a few sites that seems to include some useful tips on how to make it. Http://elsci.lansingschools.net/unit...ion%20Cans.doc (you have to scroll down a little to the numbered instructions) http://www.agriscience.msu.edu/caree...tioninacan.htm (It's apparently more commonly referred to as "constellation in a can" if you want to search for more sites.) |
