    Default Question About Stellarium

When I zoom in close on an object, it moves out of view very fast. How can I get the object to stay in view, or at least slow it down?

    Thanks

On the bottom menu there is a "play"/"pause" icon. Clicking on it will stop the clock and sky rotation.

Press [Ctrl + M] to switch to equatorial mode.
Or at the bottom click on the icon that looks like an EQ mount.

If you have an object selected, simply tap the space bar. It will then be centered up and locked onto. The sky still rotates, but your FOV will follow the object.

If you tap an object in the app, an information box should appear on the upper left. Immediately below this information, you should see a circle with a star icon. Tap that icon and it will center the object (same as the spacebar method on a PC).
