My mistake - you are correct; image posting is still not working.

Ah yes, that does work. But it used to do that automatically with just the back button. Hmmm.

I believe the folks who are having this issue are talking about first clicking on the New Posts tab. Thereafter, the operation is different from before the December upgrade. After perusing a thread, it will be removed from the New Posts list.

I believe that Kathy (and I) are talking about simply browsing through the various forums here. There, the threads that have been read will work as Kathy has shown, and the green & blue bubbles will gray out when there are no unread threads in a given forum.

I have not disabled cookies. I should note, the button that doesn't work the same as before the upgrade for me is the "New Posts" button. If I click "Todays Posts" I see all the posts for the last 24 hours with appropriate bolding for topics I have not read, or that have newer updates to them. Before the forum upgrade in November, I used the "New Posts" button to do the same thing to track posts that had been added or updated since my previous logon. That is the functionality that changed for me at upgrade time. Again, not as painful as the lack of uploads, but a difference in behavior.

It happens to me on some other sites as well, so much so that hitting reload after back has become instinctive

It seems like a common problem ... google "back button refresh page"

It could be that sites are no longer doing the auto-refresh to mitigate the proliferation of ads. Each page reload would re-load new ads. Just a thought. Anyway, I may try to train my mouse to click refresh after each back-button as well. We'll see how well that works

The forum changes were due to the software upgrade. Admin says he did us an upgrade to the final package that was available for V4.
From there it all moves to V5, we can only wish!

Now the new posts button only shows those threads you have not read. Using the "Quick links" and "Today's posts" will show you all the posts including those you have posted to.
It's a change that has occurred with the software and is part of the "New look", all this info is on the VBulletin webpage. It's changes that were made by the developers in the new upgrade.
Took me while to adjust and to figure out the new navigation.

Kinda like moving from Win7 to Vista, we did not like it but got used to it and now we are stuck with Win10.
