Default Two EPs - same manufacturer (ES) - difference: 2mm/12 degrees

Explore Scientific lists its 28mm, 68-degree EP at $190 and its 30mm, 82-degree at $300.

Could you help me evaluate the variance in price for these two?

Do you have a soda can in the house? If so, get one out and set it on the counter and stare at it a bit.

The 82ş 30mm is larger than that can.

It’s a big ol’ heavy eyepiece and size-wise, puts the other to shame. More glass, more house, more money.

Depending on the scope you are intending to use either of these with, that would help with the deciding. The 30mm can be rather unwieldy with it’s size and weight. I like it fine in a fast refractor. Too large an exit pupil with my 12” dobsonian for me.
