Our forecast for Friday and Saturday is RAIN!! Big surprise. BUT it's supposed to be clearing all day Sunday and I've already asked off from work Monday. Hopefully I can pull an all nighter on a clear Sunday evening and give it a good try.

Saturday is supposed to be sunny, a break in the clouds and rain. So I may be driving up the coast to a dark sky site. I might be able to pull it out at home (since I observed all 110 from home a few years back), but the darker skies will make it easier to see M74. The city installed a streetlight across from my house in 2016 much to my chagrin.

I'm with Allison, every night out on the hunt seems like a Marathon. I'm up for the challenge, well that was until I checked the forecast... I will have everything I own cleaned, tuned, configured and ready to go.

I was told about this challenge a while ago, the link provided takes a lot of work out of the planning stage. Was out last nigh working on my M110, after the wind picked up I came in, only to discover that 2/3 of my observing had been done before.... I marked it up to practice!

It was a all out bust for me. Repeated cycle of snow then fog... not a lick of wind. Guess I will carry on with the Messier hunt when it decides to smarten up.
