    So the westerly winds are here and the gum tees are down and the scopes are over,both my eq6 and eq8, The eq8 head is loose it might need some adjustment or it might be kaput.
    the 10'' focuser is destroyed, ota has large dent in it and the spider vein needs fixing.the mirrors seem all intact !,the asi1600 got torn out of the filter wheel,both had detach from eachother.

    time to grieve,tomorrow time to shop!.probably need new focuser and some panel beating,wounder if it's possible to buy spare ota's from skywatcher,i could roll up and make my own but that's far too time consuming. I was just imaging the horsehead last night too...

    think i'll get a new scope and then buy the focuser parts for the 10'' and give it some tlc and use it as a dob again for visual work.
