    Hi yobbo from a cold, cloudy, wettish Melbourne. What a bummer mate; any chance of the insurance company coming to the fore

    We have lots of big trees around us and have had one tree and a few big branches come down over the years but luckily no major damage. I hope you can get up and running again shortly.

    Wow. That is horrible. Such a lot of gear in one go. I sincerely hope at least the EQ8 head is fine or just needs a service perhaps. I'd have though these (going by the EQ6 construction) would be pretty bomb-proof.

    Might be a nice project in the future to salvage the mirror and cell from the 10" dob and build something.

    Thinking 12 " newt, always been a mirror head,i just hope the clutch gave way or did most of the movement because the whole head was moved some rotation.
