    Default Meade LX90 LNT

hello all, I am thinking of buying a second-hand Meade LX90 LNT, upgrading from a smaller scope. Can anyone out there give me any advice on these scopes, or does anyone own one that could give me a run down from an astrophotography perspective?

    Thanks, Kevin55

I've got a Meade LX10, which is very similar to the LX90. Same optics, same fork design, same tripod. I also bought mine used, and I think I got lucky with the price. Either way, I've been very happy with this scope. What aperture is this?

Just by a quick googleing it seems that if there is any problem that is with the mount. However I have an LX90 10" mounted on EQ and it is very nice. I have no complains whatsoever.

I have an LX90 8 inch LNT; you will need a wedge to do long exposure astrophotography. However Terry Belia a member of this forum uses his LX90 in alt az mode taking short exposures which he stacks using Deep Sky Stacker...... he does very nice imaging with his technique. Here is his web site where he describes his equipment and shows his images........
