    Red face Light Pollution Materials

Several years ago myself and Mog a recently deceased amateur astronomer created several "canned" documents that anyone can use to make a light pollution presentation to a City Council or city mayor's office. I have recently placed these documents in a public folder using DropBox. Here are the public links. These are all in "the public domain" and may be used as you see fit. They may be downloaded, copied, altered, and edited to meet your local requirements.

New LINKS to the light pollution public domain documents. I have moved these to Dropbox-- here are the direct links:

    Thanks, Joe,

I am going to use the information you have provided to work on keeping surrounding areas as dark as they are or even better. It looks very professional, and hopefully will gently move those in charge in a good direction. Saving $ doesn't hurt!

Hello Joe. Thanks for these useful documents that we can use to help educate people on the encroachment of our night skies due to light pollution. Best of regards.

Yes just what I needed I know our towns mayor a friend of my dads I have hit the jackpot as a town we are blessed with good night skies but its just verging on the yellow lime chart on the light pollution map . (White red and then orange as the worst) if we canget it down to turquoise or blue its considered faint milky way territory on the hills next to us as I have the green yellow glow problem on landscape night shots. If anything comes of this I will let you know. I will phone them in the morning and will arrange time off work for this thank you =)
