    Note that it says nothing about astronomy and instead focuses on the social issues. Glad to see this angle. Most people don't care about seeing the stars mainly because they don't know what they're missing. But they do care about the social issues.

    Yeah unfortunately $$$ has to be involved for most cities to even begin to listen. Since where I live (and probably most U.S. cities), the combination of surplus nighttime power from the grid, and LED street lights, hard to make an economic argument....
