Default New Image of the Hubble Ultra Deep Field

This came across my Facebook news feed this morning. Hubble has broken yet another record of seeing back in time. We need the James Webb Space Telescope!

Also, this is one of my favorite all time videos explaining the Hubble Deep field. A big nod of appreciation to Tony Darnell:

I think I have a longer version of this video. If I remember good it also goes on and talks about M42 as well.

This is the new revised one. Tony took out the "singing guy" which was kind of dorky and detracted from an otherwise spectacular video.

Pink Floyd goes well with just about everything...especially space! I play a bit myself, but I'll save that for my intro

There is a video showing how they did this. Pretty interesting that the original images look nothing like the airbrushed final production. NASA is okay I guess but I like the NASA back in the day where there was an ashtray at every computer monitor. Smoke filled rooms, whiskey, and rockets go hand in hand. oorah?!
