Exclamation Posts in Moderation

Just for your information, new posters with less than a small number of posts will have their posts held in moderation if the algorithm predicts they look suspicious. This also helps us and me as I would rather improve the site than delete thousands of spam posts one by one.

This is so that we can keep our forum spam clean, as children, students and other people visit this forum often.

1 person complained about this however this is something that I will not change. After a certain number of posts (only a minute of your time anyway) you will not need to worry about this trigger and it will not bother you

Please note that we manually look through these triggered posts and your post will show up very soon (within several hours at the most) so there is no need to worry or re-write your posts.

Thanks for your understanding

Ah - that explains why it says 42 posts have been made, yet I can only see about 20 of them.

Good move BTW - far too much junk was getting posted

Thanks Carlos, was hoping people didnt mind too much. Do you mean on the welcome panel said 42 posts made? I guess it was working a lot then...

Both yesterday and today I have had one post held for moderation. It must be that I appear to be suspicious.

Well, I could answer that one way.......

Actually, Ted, all new topics started here on the Announcement Board are held for mod approval.

It makes sense to keep the Announcement Board tidy. Where is the preferred location to report forum anomalies?

Well, Ted, we haven't got that far yet............

A feed back forum is not always the best idea, as you have seen elsewhere, as it gets bogged up with petty whining

But well noted Sir. And here seems to be the place for now.

Definitely a subject we will need to address. And sooner than later

Hey, Ted, while I've got you here, thanks for your input. It really is appreciated.
