I have been looking around for a second camera for my imaging at night. But I am looking to get it modified when purchased. Its quite an old model now. It depends really on the budget. I don't think this has live view which is a great feature today. I would look for a later model to be honest. The 40D is a very good camera and its quite lite for the back of a scope. Something the 5D Mk ii is not.
