    Default Time Lapse

Just thought I would share one of my time lapses that I have done. This was taken over an one and a half hours. I used a f stop of 3.5, ISO of 1,600 and a 20 second shutter speed with one second in between each shot. Post processing was done in Lightroom and then created the video in Premier.

It is a short video because I don't have a totally secure place to go to shot photos. So at an hour and a half I had to leave my spot. Looking for a more secure place.

Nice video, but I didn't see any star trails---saw a couple of meteor trails. Did I miss something?

Yes that was a low flying aircraft, it either had to be a DEA airplane or a border patrol airplane. Sorry about the name, my intent was to combine all my photos together for a star trail photo but when I did the clouds really clouded the photo. So I just turned into a time lapse. Really should have changed the name.

The clouds looked very cool. You don't hear that often on this forum.

Wow - that is a great video. I'll have to show it to my granddaughter the next time she's here. We've talked about the stars moving because of the Earths rotation, but she doesn't have the patience yet to hang out for an hour or three to see it for herself. She'll recognize the Big Dipper in the video and that may help her put it together.

Thanks Bob. That would be great if something I did could be used to teach a kid. My son looks at that and just says "oh cool dad." I guess since it's me that's doing it then it isn't that great. But he is 13 and I remember what was like doe my Dad and I when I was 13. But thanks Bob for the kind words.
