Default My first Dumbbell.. best ever AP for me

ISO 800 Stacked 4x19sec .. Jpgs from RAW in Lightroom.

Lightroom does hot pixel removal so no darks.. as there are no hot pixels when I export the darks
I tried RAW in Deepsky Stacker.. will try again.. now that I know more.. I do have darks if I try RAW again

This is my 8SE, WEDGE, Sony A700 DSLR. with Hirsch Focal Reducer F6.3 Took about 15 shots but only 4 were good enough for the software. I also now know I need to give the drive more time to settle. I was rushing these a bit that night.

Used a magnified right angle finder I got off ebay to help focus which got it very close than used a Bahtinov Focus Mask to get it closer.

Photoshop bugs me as on screen it shows some more subtle colors that it will not export to JPG or PNG.. daylight photos probably don't notice the slop.. but sort of disappointing for Adobe to not be able to create a jpg of what I see on the screen.

Thanks.. starting to understand the software too.. its not complicated.. but things like understanding the autosave.tif is not usable in Photoshop etc.. and you have to do a save etc.

Also getting an idea of how many shots I need to take and what my mount limits are.. 60 seconds near the north and 20-30 second near the C-EQ..unguided.

but this one has some color and shape so I am happy as a new stage in my learning.

I noticed you said the autosave.tif is not usable in photoshop, but that is the method I always use ( although I'm not sure if I'm doing anything right yet) but whatever works for you.
    PS: Good shooting!!.

    Aye I'm using 8gig quad i7 with CS5 64bit, and have no trouble opening a 165mb 32bit TIF.
Unless you have drizzle on, Its nothing I have come across.
    Good luck and Clear skies..

I Just realized, unless you are using a 64bit version of photoshop then that will certainly hinder the opening of certain file sizes. I use 32 and 64bit for photography as some plugins only work with 32bit unless I'm working with large photographs which need 64bit.
