Default Anything new under the tree?

Looks like we haven't a a book post in a bit & I Just started to wonder what Astro books showed up under the tree this year for the group?

Mathematical Astronomy Morsels & Men, Monsters and the Modern Universe are headed to me from Will-bell.

Apologies, I've not been able to keep up the last couple of months. Love the state of publishing & opinion on Astronomy books posts - would I get in trouble posting this late in the game?

Need to get a couple of reviews posted - OITH edition 6 & NSOG V4. Would it be selfish to pray for a clear night to put it off further?

Funny you should ask. I got Trefil's Space Atlas Second edition and Scott Kelly's Infinite Wonders. These are pretty much coffee table books but they are fun none the less.

Also, I received just enough cash from the in-laws to dream about a new mount. NOT purchase, just dream!

    Cheers,

Very Nice! Scott Kelly was a good follow on social media, loved his pictures.
And stash the cash to keep the dream alive...

    Hello Ske

I got the "Order of Time" by Carlo Rovelli. Haven't taken a look yet but may start this evening.

EDIT: also received "Searching for Stars..." by Alan Lightman.

Order of Time looks very interesting - pretty lavish reviews.
Searching for Stars may be too deep for me - about as far as I can go philosophically is Deep Thoughts by Jack Handy.

Nice haul I, let us know how you like 'em!

    Nothing new,
and nothing astronomy-related under the X-Mas tree,
just 2 pre-owned and pre-read books from Faber's at St. Lorenz

    Hello Abb,

this counts, it takes more than 1 page per day or night, to complete before the next X-Mas.

I have the Bakich's "1,001 Celestial Wonders to See Before You Die", working on it very very slowly, ha, ha
