Default A Question and Answer Guide to Astronomy

Title of the book as above.

    Author(s): Pierre-Yves Bely/Carol Christian/Jean-Rene Roy
    Publisher: Cambridge University Press
    ISBN: 978-0-521-18066-5 Paperback

I haven't really read the book, but instead skimmed through it. However, it does seem like a good book (found it at the library!). It covers questions ranging from stars, solar system, The Earth, our Moon, celestial phenomena, the Universe, life in the Universe, history of astronomy, telescopes and amateur astronomy. It seems more like a compilation of FAQs. Nevertheless, it does seem like a very good book to have that answers many of the dying questions about Astronomy. It's also written in a non-technical form. So, people like me are able to understand the content of these short essays.

Additionally, i think i found out a website that has a free e-book on this book. I haven't seen it yet. So if anyone would like to confirm its validity? Thanks.

I'm sure this is a great book to have (:

    You're welcome (:
These books though, in addition to the many good books introduced by wonderful people here, do make me realise that Astronomy, whether amateur or professional, is not a dying Science at all. It's in fact, ever so growing!
