Light Pollution: Astronomy Related?

 Light Pollution: Astronomy Related?
I live about 30 miles away from boston and from looking at the bortles dark sky scale I have a rating of 4 or a rural/suburban transition. The Mayor of boston is making the sky scrapers turn off the light above the 29th story. Will this affect the darkness of my sky at all?

Depends on how high they are now. If 30 stories, not much, if 80, it should help. But a lot of pollution comes from those damn billboard and street lights and landscape lights that think they just HAVE to aim at the sky to get anything done.
