Default First time using Image stacker

Hi there. After taking some nice pictures I wanted to take the next step and use deepskystacker (I believe that is what it's called). Is there a good resource to learn how to use it (and how to set your blacks and whites?)

As always, check Youtube they have a few very good tutorials about DSS there. Are your images planetary images or deep sky object (DSO) images? I ask because that will determine which stacking software you should use.

    Cheers,

I have been very successful using DDS for extended deep sky objects. I use BackyardESO (for canon) to control the camera and to achieve focus the programs. These is also BackyardNicon.
Unfortunately the program is not free.
