Default L or another LP filter?

This is very important question for me as it may help me in my imaging later.

I am planning to buy Astrodon LRGB filters beside NB filters ofcourse, but because i am under light pollution area i don't know how much bad it can be for L filter at least, so do you recommend me to use another L filter or light pollution filter instead of this Lum filter in LP? and how much difference or improvement it may give?

For example CLS or L-Pro or anything else, I even saw IDAS and Astronomik have narrower L filter than standard one, will there be any difference then or any filter not NB will be completely useless in LP mainly L?

    Thanks

I live in bortle 6 and a lp filter does help a bit but does squat all for really faint targets especially galaxy's ,my cmos just gets swamped with lp, i think you might find different results on what target you pick, your exposure time, and what brand you choose, even position of the target in the sky,i almost ignore all forms of imaging with a uv/ir cutoff or lp filter as my lum channel and just resort purely use narrowband filters for the whole target or atleast just the lum channel.

edit:i think it's a worth while filter for bright targets and ones that are manageable under your sky conditions but it's not going to be a godsend for those dim faint targets

It is ok, just wanted to know if just a filter may slightly cut off some of LP maybe, or to make processing easier, even with different NB filters of different brands you will see differences, even of the same filter such as Ha, from 12 to 8 to 6 to 3nm, so i was thinking maybe there is kind of Lum filters that can give you slight difference for certain conditions, and i don't know if i should just rely on that L filter that came with LRGB set from all brands, i cam across some images around where the shooters replaced their Lum of LrGb with another Lum or LP filter to give less issues maybe or don't know their reasons.
