Default How to attach a DSLR to the 4SE mount

    Hi guys,
I tried a quick search and didn't find a thread on this topic: How to attach a DSLR (Canon in my case) to a Celestron 4SE mount?

I want to use a camera and lens instead of the OTA. What adapter should I use, and where do I get one?

    Thanks.

    Welcome to the forum.

You need a dovetail bar and a 1/4x20 screw. ADM Accessories has a big selection of dovetail bars. You need only the most basic one, in the "Vixen" or V-series style. The screw you can get at any hardware store.

The ADM ones are good quality, for lower price, something like this might work if it is a vixen mount....

    https://www.telescope.com/Orion/14-2...160/p/7388.uts

It is a "1/4"-20 Adapter for Orion Telescope Mounts" if the link does not work.
