Default adding photos to posts or on webpage as my photos

Hello, I seem to be having an issue. how does one get photos onto the page as my photos and or add to a post. I wanted to share photos of the observatory I built, but cant seem to figure out how to add photos to a post. I was able to get a few into a album, not sure how I did it but I cant get them to go to a post
    thanx...

    Size of file matters.
But if you manage to create an album and managed to upload images to it those images should be able to be posted with your post in a thread.. there is a small button marked "my photos" at the bottom left hand corner of your posting window. if you click on that it should bring up your albums from which you select the image that you want to post. Then close that selection window and the image should be attached now to your post.

There is also a way to post an attachment directly from a file on your computer or cell phone.
And this case you would click on a button called "go advanced" on the right lower corner of your posting window and it will open up a larger screen and down toward the lower part of that screen there will be a another button called "manage attachments". Click this button and if your file is of an appropriate size you can attach by selecting a file in this mode that will go directly to the post In the thread you are working with.

This is how I have been doing this.

BTW: You have some nice photos in your album. :-)

If you're storing them off the site, you can use image tags surrounding the url to the image.
It looks like this without the spaces in the tags (in red):
    [ img]https://cdn.astrobin.com/thumbs/X5JA...0_wmhqkGbg.jpg[/ img]

Note that the url has to end in a picture format or it won't work (in my case .jpg).

If you compare the following urls

    https://cdn.astrobin.com/thumbs/X5JA...0_wmhqkGbg.jpg

    https://www.astrobin.com/350554/B/?nc=user

They show the same image but the 2nd link is to the webpage containing the image whereas the first is a link to the image itself. The first one will work with an img tag but the second wouldn't because it's not just an image. To get the url from a webpage, right click the image and select "Copy Image Address" (Chrome). Then paste that into your post and surround it with img tags. The tag with a / is a closing tag. It tells the forum that everything between the open and close tag is an image.

I use this method for most of my image postings since I can upload it to one place and then use the same image across multiple locations.

thanx again I'm going to try and add a few to this post..In the last 2 years i've dealt with the highs and lows of first getting a new telescope (last one i owned 15yrs ago) and then trying to learn AP on my own.. only to have to send my mount back to celestron in Feb, again in April only to have a new one sent back to me in June... the pictures in my album are single image subs, as I have barely begun to learn multiple image stacking.

    Good show vgrosso!
It looks like you have the image attachment routine down very well.
    That is an impressive Observatory.
