| given the formula angular size/360 = physical size/2pi * distance Suppose you have a digital camera with a 50 degree field of view and a 1024x1024 pixel detector. What is the greatest distance at which you could tell the resolution of the detector is the only limiting factor? |

| I have no idea what you asking but for astronomy photos are taken using a CCD (Charged Coupled device) they have great advantages over standard digital cameras as they can capture all waves in the electromagnetic spectrum and their quantum efficiency > 70% |
