    Greetings and welcome.

The first question is, how dedicated do you think you will be to the endeavor? The second is, what is your budget? The third is what in particular do you want to image (planets, lunar, brighter/larger deep space objects, dimmer/tiny deep space objects)? Once you can answer those three core questions, much of the rest falls into place.

Thanks for the answer. I am a space journalist. But i just write for now. And i want to take photos too. So i can say i am determined. Today i visited a shop. The objective there costed 5000 euro. That is too much i am interested in more galaxy kind of photos.

you mean for the OTA ( optical tube assembly or telescope tube) or for the whole setup including a computerized mount and other stuff that you need to take long exposure images.

I dont have a telescope. Is it possible to take such photos just with the nikon itself by including a suitable thing instead of the camera lense which i have now. I have a tripod already. I just want to take the camera and take photos with it with a suitable lense or optical tube assembly however you call it. So i need first the OTA i think.
