    Default eyepiece recommendation?

    Hello,
    I currently have an 8" Newt f/4.9 1000mm with orion Sirius 1.25" 25mm and Meade TeleXtender 1.25" 3x barlow.
Looking for a 10mm or similar eyepiece for higher power and a 2" for wider view?

I wear glasses so eye relief is an issue, but, I don't want to spend way too much, but don't want to buy stuff I want to replace too quickly...
    Somewhere around $80~120 per eyepiece?
Any decent 1.25 or 2" eyepieces you would recommend? Or used that would be in the price range?

Both the Celestron X-Cel series and Meade 5000 60 HD have very good eye relief. I have used both in the past and thought them pretty good value for money.

When hunting around, stay away from Plossl eyepieces, as you get to higher magnification the eye relief gets tight, even if you don't wear glasses

Big difference between celestron Xcell and celestron Xcell LX I like the LX also look at the Paradigm from Astro Tech , however if you want to spend more then the ES or even more the TV range

I have not liked the views with the Paradigms through a fast scope. On slower scopes I think they are the best value out there.

Agree I prefer the celestron LX to the Paradigm but in RSA we dont have much choice unless we import with costs
