    Default Sombrero Galaxy

    Hi

Any idea what is the bright object at bottom right of the image? Which is the galaxy at the bottom centre - left? Looks like a double spiral galaxy.

yep, thats a couple of spiral galaxies. Search Google images and their are lots that show it.

The two colliding galaxies are called USNOA2 0750-07913859 and USNOA2 0750-07913885.

Definitely not Eta Persei since M104 is in Virgo. Best I can ascertain your bright star is mag 9.7 HD 110086. As for the two galaxies, the only data I could find for them is that the one of the left is USNOA2 0750-07913885 (mag 18.45) and the one on the right is USNOA2 0750-07913859 (mag 17.90) as Dave indicated. Hope that helps.

Hi, Jagadeesh, and welcome to the Forums!
That's an awesome image of M104 you have there...
Can you provide the equipment list and a brief run down on the processing?
Really excellent details you've brought out in the rim...

Exactly. He never once said it was his image, he only had questions about some of the other objects within the image.
