Default Set screw coming loose on Celestron motor. Any tips?

So - I was having a heck of a time getting my new Dob platform to track last night. It worked great the first night out, so I was baffled and a little annoyed. Then I noticed that the set screw on the Celestron motor was totally loose! Well that explains why it wasn't turning the drive shaft! Duh.

Okay - who has a simple solution to keeping a set screw in place?

Go to a hardware store or auto parts store and get some Loctite thread locker, get the blue stuff.

That sounds like a winner! "Loctite" has a good ring to it.
I'm really terrible when it comes to fixit & handyman stuff - so this is a big help.
    Thank you so much Pauls72.

I will just echo...Blue loctite only. Do not use the red loctite.

I don't know if the shaft has a flat spot or detent on it but might want to check that its in the right spot if it is.

I made my own shaft and smoothed out a side - but probably not enough. More grinding needed. So, thanks! Good point!

Check to make sure the end of the screw is not rounded off also. If it is file it flat so it makes good contact with the flat on the shaft.

It doesn't take much blue Loctite... just a touch.

(Another reminder: Don't use red! )
