Default Photosharing sites for putting images on forum(s)

I have been using Photobucket for years to post images to this forum and others however lately it has been horrible, slow or not loading at all or hanging on uploads.

What are other sites that are user friendly. I have a flickr account but only use it for my better pictures, don't want to junk it up with all the stuff I post to forums.

The nice thing about PB was that I could click on share and get the code for either a direct picture to the forum or a thumbnail.

    That is putting it mildly!

They recently changed 'ownership' and they wanted to make changes to the hosting software. It hasent gone very well.

So not well in fact a lot of E bay folks that use it are considering a class action suit.

I have noticed over the last couple months you have to click through a pay to use to avoid ads, the only add I get is that one. Was wondering if the pay site was faster but don't want to take the chance.

Maybe I will create another yahoo account and set up a special flickr account just for forums that way I don't have to touch my main account.

There must be another image hosting site that is easy to use, I tried Postimage.org but they are also going through some kind of lawsuit or down time or something

I have never tried uploading stuff to our gallery here to use in posts, hate to junk it up.

I don't know if this site supports it or not but I started looking at a site called DSO Browser. A simple google search should find it. Don't know much about the site yet. It's free so ... it's free.

I view other people's images on astrobin - not sure how well it works but I have seen multiple people on here using it so it may be worth a look....

Astrobin is pretty nice. I think they know it and recently changed to a pay service. You can have 10 free images anymore than that you have to pay.

I have.. and need a subscription account. But frankly in the last month or so it is not any better or faster.

They (PhotoBucket) area 'aware' of the issues and are working on it

That is what I will have to do for this forum but there is another forum, I won't say cloudynights..., that only allows you to upload from a url although it would take the embed code from photobucket..
