    Default Tube rings?

    Hello
I was just wondering where or what tube rings I could get for my new Skywatcher SKYLINER-150P 153MM (6") F/1200 PARABOLIC DOBSONIAN TELESCOPE.

I would really appreciate some help. :-)
    Thank you

If the F/8 dob is same tube material as the 150p F/5 skywatcher explorer / celestron omni 150
then the orion 183mm tube rings MIGHT fit

Last month a buyer asked me to locate and import another set of tube rings for him , but I couldn't find any seller for the white version from skywatcher/synta

Why do you want tube rings for the Dob? If you want to mount the tube on an EQ mount it will need to be very sturdy and will place the EP in some very hard to reach (comfortably) angles. I would much prefer using the Dob base. If you are wanting to attach some accessory to the tube there are other ways such as mounting a dovetail to the tube, but this can cause balance issues.

I need the rings to put it on a tripod so that i am able to transport my DOB by car to a local field where I can see everything from almost the horizon. The DOB with its base will not fit in my car. :-(

As mentioned Newtonian's on a 'tripod' are very difficult to work with. Not only the weight and balance issue but the eyepiece almost always ends up in odd positions.

I suppose an alt az mount wont be quite as bad just make sure it is a very sturdy and stable tripod.

Remember a Dobsonian refers to just the base the scope is on. The scope itself is a Newtonian by design.

The sturdy mount which you will need may take up more space than the Dob base. While I can't transport my 12" Dob in my car (the tube is too big so I use my truck) the big base for it would fit easily in the car seat.
