| Here is the question: The Earth orbits the Sun, and its elliptical orbit is characterized by a = 1.496 x 10^(11) m. It takes one year (365.25 days) to go around the Sun. Given that the universal constant of gravitation is given by G = 6.67259 x 10^(-11). Calculate the mass of the Sun. I have tried solving it with equations he has given us in class, but the lecture notes he has online don't really make sense, and I'm lost. |
