Default Solar Filter for Astromaster 114EQ

    Hi,
I have encountered a small dilema,
I have an astromaster 114EQ which I have had for a couple of years now and I have a new mount and all sorts, however, I wish to start a bit of solar observation. My dilema is that I am not sure what size solar filter I require, I have been looking around on the internet and I can't find anything that is particulary useful, I have tried measuring the optical tube but to be honest I don't exactly trust my measurements, since the astromaster has a curve upwards. For this reason I have decided to ask to see if anyone has any recommendations or information on the size I may need for the astromaster 114EQ.
    Many thanks!

    Based on this page:

Solar Filters - Sun Finder, Baader Astro Solar Film and R-60 Aluminum Rings

To ensure proper fit of the solar filter you must measure the outside diameter of the front opening of the telescope, binoculars or lens. To convert inch measurements to metric, multiply your tube diameter measurement that is in inches by 25.4. This will give you the diameter in millimeters.

Ok, I've had a look and...
Visual Solar Filter (5"/126mm filter aperture), Fits tube ODs 140mm to 150mm
That should do the trick, I'll have to find it on amazon or ebay, so it doesn't get shipped from abroad.
    Thanks!

I may in fact go for the Orion 5.81inch filter, since it is sold nearby.
