Default Powder coating scratched Skywatcher ED100 tube and dew shield

Hi, I've recently purchased an older light metallic blue Skywatcher ED100 that had been rather extensively scratched up along one side of the tube and dew/glare shield. I am interested in refinishing the scope by powder coating it in a matching color. Are there any drawbacks to doing this? Specifically I was worried about the effect of baking the tube on the baffles (eg loosening) and also on the matt black (factory applied?) paint of the tube interior - will it flake or blister if baked, or should it be stripped and redone after the external recoating? I would appreciate any input.

If you don't mind, I would like to ask a question related to powder coating.

My alt-az mount's surface is powder coated.
I'm trying to stick a paper with altitude degrees onto it but sticky tape doesn't respond very well to the powder surface.
Which other household stuff is a suitable adhesive and can be remove in the future without ugly residue ?
