What do you mean by VLC videos? What format is the video in? If the video is not .avi you could always try a video converter, Freemake is a free converter.

The format is VLC. And I've tried converting it with a few different converters but it doesn't work

    Cheers

When you right click and go to properties, is the format actually .vlc? VLC is a media player and not a video format. A .vlc file extension is associated with ACUCOBOL-GT license files. These are the files that are used to install a software license on a computer.

I have never actually used this program, but it is free and will convert .3gp to .avi.

I'm with those who think you need to find out just what container format you have and (hopefully) the type of video stream. You may get all that by right-clicking and going through the properties. A really slick program for getting all the info is "MediaInfo".

If possible, you don't want to transcode the file because doing so typically degrades the video at least a little. But if you have to, you have to.
