Mine have been a knob to guide my scope, and a telrad.
Can anyone tell me their best ,non-optic, accessory for star gazing? Just wondering as i,m starting out in the hobby and have bought a fair few bits and pieces!

Definitely Stellarium for me. Before I bought my telescope the program aided me quite a bit in figuring out what I was looking at in the night sky.

Well, I bought a flashlight at "Wally-World for cheap. It has a holster I affixed to the tri-pod leg, and a Red lens cover. Comes in handy for me. Maybe you too?
