    Smile First light with my Meade etx90 at



    Hi all,
    I've just managed to set up before the clouds came back in. Great views of the moon on the 26mm and 10mm and a fair view of Jupiter on the 26mm with 4 moons. The Meade is great on the auto although I was not able to line up the two stars exactly and as a result it was slightly out, but near enough for me to slew into position.
    The only thing was the batteries, which went down very quickly so a 12v battery pack is a must!
    Anyway had a great time and can't wait for a good clear sky.

    Congratulations --- yes take the batteries out of the scope and buy a separate 12 volt power pack. Be sure you have Calibrated motors, and then trained the drives.
