    Default Messier 30 Award: Award.

Thanks to Astronomy Forums, Mods, Admin's and all members, I have received the Messier 30 Award and wanted to share with everyone. I believe this idea of awarding Messier 30 certificates is a great motivator for everyone, newbies or experienced, as this is one nifty way to share one's experiences and equipment.

Thanks specially to Kevin, Astronewb and Derek.

Thanks Keith. Considering I entered this hobby some 10 months back, I still am sort of a newbie, I guess.

Hey, congratulations Mav, way to go. Wow, 10 months? That long? LOL Hmnn..I think they need a Messier 60 award program now to keep you busy, otherwise you're going to get sedentary/obese and complacent? Gratz!

Jester, this award is for viewing and cataloguing Messier objects. You can visit the Astronomy Forums report and check the sticky topic to understand the rules. You can participate as well by either providing a description or taking images or sketching. Basically something which is irrefutable proof you viewed those 30 Messier objects.

Thanks Paul. Started this hobby in March 2011 though I joined the forums earlier to read and understand the basics. It is very difficult to view from my light polluted area let alone take images but there you have it.
