    Default Tonights Moon Pic

    Hi, everyone!

Thought I'd share tonight's moon pic. I used my 32mm Plossl for the first time, along with my samo-samo Palm Centro PDA/camera phone. And, as it was 30F (-1C(?)) outside, my hands have finally stopped shaking enough for me to post. ;-)

    Enjoy!

    ~ Tim

Thanks, nice pic! And it didnt require a lot of equipment either I'm developing a love/hate relationship with the Moon. It's always great to look at, but when it's that bright, there's not too much else to look at in the skies, at least, not DSOs..lol.

    Paul,

I hear 'ya! Living in such a light-polluted area (the western suburbs of Chicago), I'm skeptical I'll ever see DSOs without driving to a dark sky location (I'm planning on eventually joining the local astronomy group, as they have several dark sky locations, and I'm sure I'll learn a lot, too). Still, I'm hopeful I'll be able to capture better planetary views during my first (or second, or third, depending on the weather) new moon.
