Question what does "return award" mean?

I just happened to notice that KeithBC "returned" his recently achieved Hyper Geek award.

Does that mean he doesn't want anyone calling him a geek?

I do not know as I have had several "awards" that I supposedly returned .. but to be honest I never paid much attention and sure do not worry about it... Most of us here are here to learn a few things and offer our opinions when someone asks a question...and not here looking for any rewards or whatever

"automagically" provides "awards", some of which are static, some of which are dynamic - these awards are based on various forum activity, like visits/sign ons, new threads, response posts, etc. The dynamic awards are granted, then "returned" automatically based on member-to-member activity comparisons by the underlying forum infrastructure - nothing to worry about, and they are not based on explicit action by a member...

Joe, you made a question I have always had surface again, so hope I am not hijacking this thread.

What are the different levels in order? Like Bright Giant, Super Giant, Main Sequence, etc? Just curious if there is a set progression...thanks

they are a set progression from white dwarf through to the highest being hyper giant.
the more points you earn, the higher the level you reach.

The "points" Andy mentioned are from the underlying vBulletin 'experience' mechanism - points are awarded based on various activities, some activities carry higher point values than others. The vBulletin experience system is intended to progress a member "up" through the experience levels (which map to the forum titles you see like White Dwarf, etc.) as their forum activity, and breadth of contribution increases.

Thanks for the feedback, we are going to revamp the awards and experience points as well as the user levels.

I will also have to find all the old posts regarding the system and usergroups. It should be in the announcement forums, as mentioned by AustinPSD and Andy mentioned the system is automatic so achievements and experience is not manually tinkered with by anyone. The team is very busy trying to manage the large community, so we don't adjust anyone's points or awards.
