    Default Celestron NexImage

I have had this imager for some time but not used. My computer runs XP. When I try to capture I get the error message "Cannot set output file"

Would somebody be able to help me?

    Many thanks Peter

    Hi Peter

Well I wouldn't have a clue about computer imaging, but someone surely will.

I mainly just posted to say welcome to the forum to a fellow Aussie

    Default Thank you

Many thanks for yours, think it is a problem with XP and lost file but do not have the expertise to solve it

    Hi Peter,

    Welcome to Astronomy Forum.
Have you tried to obtain updated software drivers for the imager?

Default Re problem with AmCap in Neximage

Thank you for your advice driver for camera is as standard and works ok

Web search has solved problem, found software called wxAstroCapture (freeware) this works fine with the camera and has more features than AmCap also a zoom function and guiding software. Registax have new software, version 5, just released (freeware) looks very sophisticated, manual runs into 49 pages.

Just need clear skies to try out image capture
