Newbie Astrophotography with Meade ETX 90 and D70? Hi all.
I wonder if I could have some advice. Firstly let me say I'm totally new to the astronomy bit, but am very interested in the astrophotography side (being an amature photographer).
While I appreciate that a larger aperture is better am I right in thinking that I'd need a motordriven mount for the photo side.
My initial thoughts are towards a Meade ETX 90PE as it would give me auto setup, tracking and my Nikon D70 can bolt on the back, but how good would this be.
I have a copy of Starry night pro which lets me set up a FOV for a Meade 90 with a 10mm poss, and the app indicates that the eagle nebular M52 would fill the eye piece and that I could zoom in on the andromeda galaxy. Would this be a true representation of what I could expect as I would be disappointed if the only pictures I could take were white dots on a black background so to speak!).
Any advice would be appreciated.
