    The sky has cleared up so i squeezed in some ha before i leave to japan in 11 days

    Running chicken nebula (ic 2944) from the southern skys.

    3hrs 20mins in ha @ 1200 sec per sub on a 12'' at f4

    scopes :gso/bintel f4 12"trust tube, bresser messier ar127s /skywatcher 10'' dob
    cameras : asi 1600mm-c/asi1600mm-c,asi120mc,prostar lp guidecam, nikkon d60, sony a7
    mounts : eq6 pro/eq8
    filters : 2'' astronomik lp/badder lrgb h-a,sII,oIII,h-b,Baader Solar Continuum, Thousand Oaks Solar Filter.
    extras : skywatcher f4 aplanatic cc, Baader MPCC MKIII Coma Corrector,Orion Field Flattener,zwo 1.25''adc.starlight maxi 2" 9x filter wheel

    Thanks, I have 80 mins of oiii and some sii on the way, my partner and i will be travelling all around japan , we have a pass for the bullet train and some flights scheduled,our first stop will be at Tokyo ,i'm not sure what the scheduled is,some of the stops will be mt fuji,osaka,sapporo,nagasaki and more, we have a few events to do aswell,snowboarding will be one of them,and a tour of the wasabi farm! ahaha

    Very nice image! I was able to get a view of this nebula low on the horizon (here at 19 degrees N), but it did not resemble a chicken. I can now clearly see the running chicken in your excellent image!

    Wish I had a way to draw on it! I had to lean back from it to see the chicken. It's running from left to right. Its head is the brightest white part of the image, top center. Its body is the white area just below. There is kind of a "cloud bank" of gray nebulosity leading from the bottom left of the chicken's body into the dark dusty area lower left center. That is its leg.
