Default Stellarium 'Oculars' Plug In Question

I've been entering different scopes and eye pieces, etc into the Oculars plug-in in Stellarium and have hit a snag.

I was entering my camera sensor data and I can find everything it wants to know except for the "Pixel Height" and "Pixel Width".

Does anyone know what the height and width of the pixels are on the Canon EOS SL2 (200D) camera sensor?

All the spec sheets I can find tell me...

    Sensor Size 22.3 x 14.9mm
    Pixel Dimensions 6000 x 4000
    Pixel Size 3.71Ám

...but nothing about height and width.

    Good news -

    22.3 mm x 1000 um/mm / 6000 = 3.72 um (pixel width)

    14.9 mm x 1000 um/mm / 4000 = 3.73 um (pixel height)

So, your pixels are square with width = height = 3.72 um (don't worry about being off by 0,01 um, probably roundoff error in the specs.

    Hope this helps,

    Steve

That makes total sense, of course. What had me confused was that it asked for sensor size and pixel dimensions in previous entry boxes. So why bother asking a question when the answer is derived from information already given?

Doesn't matter! 3.70 is what I had entered already so I'm all good!

    Thanks for the quick answer!
