That's a neat trick to get the link Bryan, in Edge the easiest way is Right-click -> Inspect element and copy the URL in the figure section.

To Jim: When using [IMG][/IMG] this will stay up so long as the Astrobin link is valid. You may or may not need to generate embedded HTML code, try the URL first and see if that works.

I will look and see if there is a workaround with a Mac and Safari? Is that your browser, Tom, or do you use something different?

I hate that we have to jump through hoops. Not only are they hoops, they are also on fire.
Yes Bryan, it's an iMac and Safari!!
    Thanks so much!!

Tom, don't know if this works or not. The last Apple PC I used was an Apple IIe way back in the mid-80's.

Thus, I don't know Macs from a hole in the ground.

Anyway, give this a whirl and see if it yields something for you:

    1. Right click on the image (in Astrobin)
    2. Click on Copy Image Address
    3. That should get the image URL for you.

In the case of this image, it should be https://cdn.astrobin.com/thumbs/8TcLj0cY6-NK_1824x0_wmhqkGbg.jpg

Simply in enclose that in IMG tags thus: [IMG]https://cdn.astrobin.com/thumbs/8TcLj0cY6-NK_1824x0_wmhqkGbg.jpg[/IMG]

If my son was here with his Mac, I'd have a proper play with it. He'll be here on Friday, so if this doesn't work in the meantime, I will figure it out on Friday and shoot you a PM.
    Bryan

Noooo! Post whatever you find in the forum!!!
Sending a PM defeats the whole purpose of this place!!!

Until we get by this SNAFU, it's all hands on deck to help one another... PM's do not help.

And not to sidetrack Tom's thread, but speaking of SNAFU's
The wife and I were out driving a few weeks back and I spotted a car with a license plate that I don't know how it got by DMV.
    FUBAR
You don't even have to have served in a branch of anyone's military to know what this means, but my wife didn't. So I had to explain it.
How does something like that get by?

You may now return to your regularly scheduled forum griping...... That is all.

Back in the '40s when this phrase became popular (obviously from WWII), "polite" society substituted the F word with fouled. Dropping the F-bomb 75 years ago was a much, much bigger deal than it is today (remember the movie A Christmas Story with Ralphie). The same swap occurred with SNAFU and SUSFU! BTW, the forum is currently SUSFU which is why we can't post any of our images conveniently!!!

    Cheers,
    JT

PS, sorry Tom, I may have diverted it even further. jt
