    For a planetarium program, mount control, guiding, capture and even plate solving you don't need that powerful of a computer. I used a Stick-PC (Atom) for awhile, then moved up to a Mini-PC (Celeron) at my mount, after my Stick-PC died. Now for image processing, that is where you need the computing power.

    Yep, I use a regular ole Dell inspiron out at the scope for mount control and image capture. I have a second old Dell something or other I run Teamview on to watch / manage the imaging laptop.

    For image processing I am currently using a 'high end' gaming laptop which was quite expensive, but I use it for other things... like gaming
