Default September 2018 Beginner AP'r winner!

The AF.net moderator team is proud to announce our September 2018 Beginner Astrophotography Award.

The StarTools software is being presented to Dana (Dyno05)

Dana was selected randomly based on his recent discussion about beginning the Astrophotography journey.

We hope that the StarTools software will help him along with the deep sky stuff.

We want to thank Ivo (member irwjager) for his generous donation to our effort to assist and grow our members participation to this portion of the Astronomy hobby.

Thank you for the recognition and for the software! I’m very excited to get it and to learn how to use it. I was planning on trying some more photography last night and tonight. When I left work it was perfectly clear last night. I got home, charged my batteries and made a Dew shield, I was all set to go. I opened the door AND IT HAD TOTALLY CLOUDED UP!! The forecast changed from clear skies to overcast for the entire weekend. I’m headed to England Monday night and won’t be back until next Sunday. I’m so bummed. I really wanted to try some new ideas I’ve had in my head. Only thing that may work out is that I think where I’m headed may be darker skies than my home and I will bring a camera. I’ve been dying to get some Milky Way data.
