Default October 2017 Beginner Astrophotography Award.

The AF.net moderator team is proud to announce our October 2017 Beginner Astrophotography Award.

The StarTools software is being presented to Shelldrake (David)

David was selected randomly based on his recent discussion about beginning the Astrophotography journey.

We hope that the StarTools software will help him along with the deep sky stuff.
    __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________
StarTools is a new image post-processing application, designed from the ground up for astronomical images.
Its novel non-linear processing engine does away with the limitations traditional astrophotographypackages impose, while leap frogging such packages in areas of signal preservation and noise reduction.

We want to thank Ivo (member irwjager) for his generous donation to our effort to assist and grow our members participation to this portion of the Astronomy hobby.

For more information on StarTools, here’s a link to the website: StarTools, Image Processing Software for Astrophotography

Congratulations again to David and we look forward to seeing some great images posted on AF.net!!!
