    Question Beginner question!! Best astrophotography lens and adaptor for Canon EOS M6?



    Hi! Sorry for the newb question... Looking to find a good astro lens for my EOS m6 and I think I also need to get a lens adapter, any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

    What is your aim?
    15mm for wide sky is known to be good.
    But from there you going up a narrpw creek to bankruptcy.lol

    Hi Jennifer!
    My aim is to be able to take clear images of the milky way as my first foray into astro imaging! Oh yes, I've seen some are VERY expensive haha, I think I'm looking at the lower end of the spectrum to start with

    For a good cheap lens for wide angle astrophotography I highly recommend something from Rokinon. Reading into the Canon EOS M6, is appears to be a mirrorless crop sensor so your best bet would be the Rokinon 16mm F/2 IMO:

    Thank you SO much! Your photos look INCREDIBLE, hopefully I can find out more about exposures and settings though I doubt I'll capture anything as spectacular as your photos any time soon!

    Thanks! Half the battle is dark sky, part of it is post processing... for the rest try 20 or 25s, stopped down to f/2.8 (sharper stars) and iso 3200 as a starting point
