Thumbs up March 2017 Beginner AP'r Award winner!

The AF.net moderator team is proud to announce our March 2017 Beginner Astrophotography Award.

The StarTools software is being presented to Marc (member a100171).

Marc was selected randomly based on his recent attempts at Astrophotography.

We hope that the StarTools software will help him along with the deep sky stuff.
    __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________
StarTools is a new image post-processing application, designed from the ground up for astronomical images.
Its novel non-linear processing engine does away with the limitations traditional astrophotography packages impose, while leap frogging such packages in areas of signal preservation and noise reduction.

We want to thank Ivo (member irwjager) for his generous donation to our effort to assist and grow our members participation to this portion of the Astronomy hobby.

For more information on StarTools, here’s a link to the website: StarTools, Image Processing Software for Astrophotography

    I am quite honestly stunned.

I mean I spend most of my time out there, as I call it "Wandering Aimlessly" most of the time visually, generally due to time constraints. Haven't even come close to being able to figure out some of the processing tools, and have been continually amazed at some of the results that I see here on the forums. I mean talk about setting the bar high.

So maybe I can start capturing some gooder images (yes, I said "gooder"), and doing some actual processing, so that I can approach some of the works that I have seen here.

Thank you all for your support!
