    Default Beginner Astrophotography Award.

The AF.net moderator team is proud to announce our Beginner Astrophotography Award.

The StarTools software is being presented to Aaron (ATLChuckles).

Aaron was selected randomly based on his recent attempts at Astrophotography. We hope that the StarTools software will help him along.

StarTools is a new image post-processing application, designed from the ground up for astronomical images.
Its novel non-linear processing engine does away with the limitations traditional astrophotography packages impose, while leap frogging such packages in areas of signal preservation and noise reduction.

We want to thank Ivo (member irwjager) for his generous donation to our effort to assist and grow our members participation to this portion of the Astronomy hobby.

For more information on StarTools, here’s a link to the website: StarTools, Image Processing Software for Astrophotography

For more information on this new Award from AF.net click on this LINK

Congratulations again to Aaron and we look forward to seeing some great images posted on AF.net!!!

Can't thank everyone enough. I got everything downloaded and set up and now it just needs to quit raining here in Atlanta.

I also mentioned to Gordon when he sent me the info that my son is 11 and is in the process of working on an Astronomy merit badge for Boy Scouts. We'll be learning/using StarTools as part of that process and when he's done he'll be helping other boys in his troop with their Astronomy merit badges as well. Hopefully the gift will have a great impact on a few young people here in the Atlanta area.
