    Default My first picture!!

My first go at a photo. A near full moon plus the light pollution of Newcastle kept me limited last night so I thought I would take a photo of the moon. Took a little processing in GIMP (one TV ad break to be precise). Apart from literally colouring it in, what's the best way to get rid of the blue outline of the moon (please consider today was the first day I had even heard of GIMP!

Photo taken as afocal with point and shoot Samsung ES73 (Inbuilt lens 4.9-24.55mm). ISO 80, F5.4. Taken through Celestron Nexstar 130slt

You could change from an image with colors to a grayscale image, and the blue will become light gray - less obvious and more like haze.
